Opening its doors in September 2020, the complex features the 40-story Hamamatsucho Building, which buzzes with activity across floors two to five, hosting everything from trade shows and exhibitions to seminars, events, examinations and business meetings.

Concept of <Tokyo Textile Scope>

The aim is to create a hub where "Creation" (designers), "Craftsmanship" (manufacturers), and "Commerce" (apparel and retail) gather and interact, sharing common values and goals that envision future-oriented textiles.

This platform will promote cross-industry, cross-generational and cross-regional exchanges and sharing of information. It will also generate new business opportunities through “industry-industry collaboration” and “industry-academia collaboration,” and promote the quality and value of Japanese craftsmanship worldwide. This, in turn, will boost the overall development of the textile and fashion industry.

Plan for the Main Annual Business Structure of <Tokyo Textile Scope>

●JFW Season Trends:A must-see section for buyers featuring fabrics from exhibiting companies

●Index:displaying the exhibitors’ top fabric choices.

●What’s Next Textile:A voting section exploring the next best-selling fabrics.

●What‘s Next Scope:Highlighting topics from startups and organisations working on new product development and new business ventures in textile and fashion sectors.

●What’s Next Sustainable / What’s Next Seminar:Seminars on new sustainable initiatives and trending topics.

●Focus on Textile Regions:Highlighting Japan’s textile production regions promoting the strengths/appeal of Japanese craftsmanship.

●Cross-industry Collaboration:Enhancing collaboration/business matching with the JFW Collection project for business opportunities.

●Industry-Academia Collaboration:Promoting the development of talent set to take on the future of textiles and fashion.

●Exhibitor Booths:A space for encounters, discoveries, exchanges and a venue where new creations come into play.

●Multi-floor layout:Exhibition categories are organised by floor for a clear and easily navigable venue structure.

●Utilising the large conference room adjacent to the venue, we provide a versatile business environment, including specially installed meeting rooms and/or organiser/exhibitor seminars.

(A multipurpose business environment: In addition to the exhibition booth, exhibitors can also use the venue conference room for private negotiations or exhibitor seminars. Please consult separately for usage.)
